The latest entry into the expanding singles market
is voice-based technology from V Entertainment called the “Love Detector.” Based
on technology first developed in Israel for security purposes,
this unique computer software takes the guesswork out of the early
stages of romance.
“The Love Detector measures voice frequency to detect levels
of physical attraction and romantic interest,” said Nicole
Graham, spokesperson for V Entertainment. “All you need is
your computer or PDA, a microphone and two people talking. It’s
96 percent accurate in detecting that first, butterfly-in-the-stomach
feeling you get when you’re around someone you’re attracted
to.”
V Entertainment hired Ruder Finn Public Relations out of New York
to generate ongoing national visibility for the Love Detector,
and hired 3D Communications to
make sure that V Entertainment’s spokesperson could create
and deliver media sound bites as interesting as the product.
“We’re positioning the Love Detector to the media
as a lighthearted conversation starter that is also extremely scientific,” said
Beata Gutman, Account Supervisor for Ruder Finn. “The Love
Detector is a great example of how technology can be fun.”
