Cara Vivarelli-O’Neill, MPH
Cara Vivarelli-O’Neill, MPH, has 20 years of pharmaceutical and healthcare industry experience, with expertise in communications, government affairs, community relations, academic and medical affairs, and regulatory affairs. Cara most recently worked at ViiV Healthcare where she led internal and external communications for the North America region.
Cara provided strategic leadership and communications oversight to a wide range of corporate activities including branding, advertising, social media, and community giving. Cara also led communications initiatives to frame and articulate messages on pricing, access, and value; she integrated insights from a wide variety of stakeholders and environments to shape a 360-degree view on how the value of therapies is understood and utilized in the marketplace.
An accomplished writer and communicator, Cara uses her experience to coach executives to optimize their own communication style to engage more effectively with key stakeholders and achieve business and organizational goals. Cara also held positions at GSK and Merck & Co., Inc. in policy and government affairs, regulatory affairs, and academic and medical affairs, and was the public affairs director for The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Cara received her BA from The Johns Hopkins University and earned an MPH from The George Washington University.
