Penny Daniels, MS

“I’m passionate about empowering my clients to reach their communications and business goals. Whether they are seeking regulatory approval, launching a product, or communicating their product’s value to the market, I am driven to see them succeed.”

For nearly two decades, Penny has coached executives in complex industries like healthcare, technology, and defense to communicate as leaders in urgent, high-pressure environments. She is recognized for her ability to quickly distill essential messages from complex data and draw the best performances from even the most reluctant presenters.

Approach

Penny’s trademark approach is insatiable curiosity about science and ways to influence audiences coupled with relentless energy, a talent for motivating people, and straight talk designed to “hit the target” as efficiently as possible. She uses her research, writing, and reporting experience to help organizations sharply define their communications and business goals and develop messages, story flow, and presentations for FDA Advisory Committee and other high-stakes meetings – and then coaches individuals and teams to deliver their narratives with confidence.

Background

Penny spent more than 15 years covering business, politics, and healthcare as a TV news anchor and reporter in major markets, including New York, Chicago, Washington, DC, and Miami. She uses this experience to get clients ready for challenging Q&A sessions with critical internal and external audiences, including an increasingly skeptical press. Penny earned a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Michigan and a master’s degree in broadcast journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.

Special Interests

Penny is strongly committed to children. She serves on the board of Maryland Court Appointed Special Advocates, an organization that advocates and cares for foster children. She also volunteers with foster and homeless teens, teaching communications skills for college, work, and life. In her spare time, she loves swimming, boating, reading, and real estate.
